How to start

In the app

  1. Install Beesley Energy in Home Assistant. See the supported equipment first.
  2. Accept the terms in the setup wizard. Your free month starts when you tick the box. No card is needed.
  3. Subscribe before the month ends to keep it running. We remind you by email and in the app 7 days before it ends. If you do not subscribe, Beesley Energy keeps running for 3 more days, then stops making changes to your equipment: it tries to send neutral settings first, then stops (see clause 2.9 and clause 4.6).

On this website

  1. Subscribe here. You give card details at checkout, and you're not charged until your free month ends. If you cancel before then, you are not charged.
  2. Enter your licence key. After checkout you are shown a licence key to enter in Beesley Energy.
  3. One free month per installation. If your Home Assistant installation has already had its free month, there is no free period and your first payment is taken at checkout (see clause 2.9).

  • If Beesley Energy stops, your equipment may keep its last setting. If it loses its connection or you stop it, it tries to send neutral settings first (the settings that hand control back to the equipment's own mode), then stops. Some equipment may still keep the last setting it was given. The app shows what yours does in Settings > Equipment behaviour, and how to switch Beesley Energy off.
  • It is not a safety or protection device. Beesley Energy changes schedules, such as when to charge, discharge or heat. On equipment that allows it, it can also change your grid export and import limits, but only within the limits you entered. It never changes protection settings. You enter your own breaker and export limits, and your electricity network operator's rules still apply. Do not rely on it for medical equipment or life support.
  • Forecasts and savings are estimates. Prices, weather and solar can change. Beesley Energy tries to have your car ready by the time you set, but cannot promise it.
  • It depends on other people's software. Home Assistant and the integrations you install are made by others. We do not control them, and they can change or stop. You set up your own accounts with them.
  • Your licence. Beesley Energy is A$5 a month, including GST, after a free first month (once for each installation; no card needed if you start it in the app). It renews automatically, you can cancel online at any time, and you get a full refund if you ask within 30 days of your first payment.
  • Your data. We collect your name, email, licence key, billing details and the terms version you accepted. Error reports are off unless you turn them on. Your location and energy readings stay on your own system.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by anything in this summary or the full terms.
